1. Introduction

LG Electronics, Inc. (“LGE” or “we”) is committed to protecting the information of those individuals and groups who use the LGE Supplier’s Portal Site interacting with LGE’s servers (collectively “LGE Servers”). This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, and share information that we obtain as a result of your use of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Service and, in particular, sets out:

• What information LGE may obtain from you, the device that you may connect to the LGE Supplier’s Portal Site;
• How LGE uses the information it obtains;
• When LGE shares information with others; and
• How you may control LGE’s use and sharing of your information.

2. What information does LGE obtain?

The information that we may receive when you use LGE Supplier’s Portal Site falls into the following categories:

• Account Information.
  This is the information you provide to the LGE Supplier’s Portal Service to create and maintain an account, which may include your user ID, password, name, date of birth, email address, department, position, telephone number, fax number and mobile number. Account Information also includes name, position, email address, mobile number of the sales representative and the bank account for collecting bills.
• Device Information.
  This refers to the information collected about your IP address, Cookies, a number that lets computers attached to the Internet know where to send you data.

3. How will LGE use the information it obtains?

We use information obtained from your use of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Site and the LGE Servers (both non-personal information and, where applicable, personal information) for various purposes, such as:

• To provide the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services for business connection;
• To personalize the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services to your needs;
• To analyze and improve the services we offer;
• To analyze your activity including providing you with personal activity reports;
• To notify you about a material change to this Privacy Policy if necessary;
• To enable you to access limited-entry areas of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services;
• To fulfil a service to you or contact you in response to sign up forms or any other enquiry that you make;

Generally, we do not share with third parties the information we receive as a result of your use of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services. Nevertheless, please be aware of the following circumstances where we may share such information with third parties:

• To third party vendors that LGE may engage to provide processing and infrastructure services on its behalf from time to time;
• As required by court order or other government or law enforcement authorities in order to comply with legal process or law;
• In connection with a corporate event, such as a merger or sale of all or part of LGE’s business (including that of a division or subsidiary), where LGE may need to disclose information to a potential buyer and its professional advisers;
• In order to protect and defend our rights and property, including by way of legal proceedings; and
• In order to protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public.

We may also share personal information and non-personal information with LGE’s affiliates and subsidiaries around the world for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

5. Overseas Transfers

We, our affiliates, subsidiaries, and third party suppliers may transfer information (including your personal information) to countries other than where your LGE Supplier’s Portal Services are registered or located in connection with providing you with the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services and any other purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. The data protection laws in many of these countries may not offer the same level of protection as those in the country where you are located. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy you expressly consent to us and our business associates and suppliers processing your data in any jurisdiction, including, without limitation, South Korea, the United States of America and the Netherlands in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The LGE Servers are located in the United States of America, the Netherlands and South Korea and each of these will store data transferred from America, Europe and Asia respectively. The location of your information will be designated in accordance with the location information you register in connection with your use of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services. LGE is not responsible for any losses that you may suffer if you register with the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services in a location other than where you actually are.

6. How long will LGE keep my personal information?

We will keep your personal information for as long as is necessary for us to provide you with the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services or other purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. If you cancel your registration with the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services, we will delete the information (including personal information) associated with that registration unless we are required to retain it by law. Your Account will remain active unless and until you cancel all other services associated with your Account, in which event your Account will be automatically closed. We will retain all information (including personal information) associated with your Account until it is closed, at which point it will be marked for deletion.

7. Cookies and other tracking technologies

When you use the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services, we and our third party partners may use cookies ? small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters ? and other tracking technologies. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services. When you use the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services, please click on the browser “Help" tab for guidance on how to modify your cookie settings. Please note that if you delete, or choose not to accept, cookies, you may not be able to utilize certain features of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services to their full potential.

When you use the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services, third parties may collect personal information about your online activities; these third parties may also collect personal information about your online activities across different websites and mobile applications over time. LGE is not responsible for this third party data collection.

8. Security

We use commercially reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information. Nevertheless, due to the design of the internet, ever-changing technology, and other factors outside of our control, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and the LGE Servers will be free from unauthorized access by third parties or that we will not be subject to security breaches. We do not accept any responsibility for the disclosure of personal information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized or unlawful acts of third parties or your decision to disclose your personal information. We exercise no control over how your information is stored, maintained or displayed by third parties or on third-party applications or sites that you may access in connection with your use of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services. You must also take appropriate steps to keep your information secure by not using an obvious login name and ensuring that you keep your password confidential and change it regularly.

9. Changes to LGE’s Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated by LGE from time to time, without notice, although we will inform you of any material changes through an update to the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services and you will be asked to accept the update. If you do not consent to any updates to this Privacy Policy, some of the LGE Supplier’s Portal Services may be restricted.
